Ten Random Tracks A Day For 2026: 20th August to 26th August

(Another blog that have been delayed as I needed a little break, I can't say I'm sorry, but I do hope you enjoy! - Ed)

Week 34 of 52 weeks, it has finally rained (not enough) and thinks are getting to what I would call a proper temperature in the UK.  It is sometimes needed, the grass around the area was going a shade that could kindly be called "scrubland rough".  But it has not all be amazing, I have been more than a little ill, and needed a break from regular posting.  I still want to do this, but I don't want to burn myself out.  That is why my old blog got deleted, it is the reason why I left my radio show behind, I just kept going without a proper break.  And as I do this without payment, it is not healthy to make this a chore, it should be fun!  So, I took some time for me, kept making a list of the 10 random tracks, and posting them/setting the playlist ready for posting.  

And after that intro, and I might re-write it (but probably won't), how in the blue hell-scape of space did we get here? At the start of the year on Threads (or possibly on Bluesky), I started to see people posting random 10 songs for the day.  Now, with lists being my sort of thing and finally having the itch to blog again, I thought "lets do this". My aim is to try to post at least one list of songs per day, but as has happened, sometimes I've had to do a few post together.  If you want to follow the lists as they are posted, that is happening on my Bluesky & Threads accounts, and once a week I am compiling into this blog/playlist.  

For full disclosure, I did miss a couple of these days, so I went to my iTunes/YouTube and looked at what I had played on the days missed. Also, when it comes to the playlists I have found that sometimes that track I played is not available.  In those cases, I've added a substitute track, which I will note when posting.  Also, I'm using Spotify.  It is the only streaming service I am used to, I am also looking into changing as Spotify sucks and their owner is a bad egg.  Much like the first post, this post and others might be edited for a new playlist provider.

Week 33 of 52 weeks, summer is heading towards its end, but it seems to be getting warmer too.  Three heatwaves in the UK this year, not had anything like that for many moons.  You know, I try not to worry about stuff like that, not because I don't believe in global warming, in fact I have always believed in it.  But god damn, I do wish we had politicians who actually gave a fuck about the planet, not their own personal wealth and draining the world to a crisp.

So, in the next hard left into the blog proper - are you hear for some music, and if so, how in the blue hell-scape of space did we get here? At the start of the year on Threads (or possibly on Bluesky), I started to see people posting random 10 songs for the day.  Now, with lists being my sort of thing and finally having the itch to blog again, I thought "lets do this". My aim is to try to post at least one list of songs per day, but as has happened, sometimes I've had to do a few post together.  If you want to follow the lists as they are posted, that is happening on my Bluesky & Threads accounts, and once a week I am compiling into this blog/playlist.

Ten Random Tracks A Day For 2026: 6th August to 12th August

Week 32 of 52 weeks, there are twenty weeks left after this one, where the hell has the year gone!  I tell you, it has been a busy week in my place.  Even through bad RPG playing (Warhammer: Soulbound), where I rolled so many 1's that it was beyond funny, I have not stopped and it is being to show.  I've been a little tired, but nothing too harsh.  I am really happy at the moment, even in the sad times, not really been like this for so long.  And so far, I've been playing some banging albums as well!

So, hopefully will be having a few more 2026 songs on these lists, and how in the blue hell-scape of space did we get here? Ten Random Tracks A Day For 2026: 30th July to 5th August

Week 31 of 52 weeks, and I feel as if the Grim Reaper is being a bit of a prick recently.  Chuck Russell, Jennifer Finch, John Douglas, Bill Oddie, Glen Hansard, Ronnie Le Drew (Zippy from Rainbow), Lou Koller, just a few of the people from my childhood and growing up who've passed away in the last few weeks.  Ladies and Gentlemen, I don't want to be morbid, but it is a harsh time we are living in.  Just so, sad and tragic, making me a little bit sad at the moment.  But life does go on, and will keep on going... So....

I suppose I better face the music as they say, there is no easy way to segway into the next part, but here we go. And how in the blue hell-scape of space did we get here? At the start of the year on Threads (or possibly on Bluesky), I started to see people posting random 10 songs for the day.  Now, with lists being my sort of thing and finally having the itch to blog again, I thought "lets do this". My aim is to try to post at least one list of songs per day, but as has happened, sometimes I've had to do a few post together.  If you want to follow the lists as they are posted, that is happening on my Bluesky & Threads accounts, and once a week I am compiling into this blog/playlist.  

For full disclosure, I did miss a couple of these days, so I went to my iTunes/YouTube and looked at what I had played on the days missed. Also, when it comes to the playlists I have found that sometimes that track I played is not available.  In those cases, I've added a substitute track, which I will note when posting.  Also, I'm using Spotify.  It is the only streaming service I am used to, I am also looking into changing as Spotify sucks and their owner is a bad egg.  Much like the first post, this post and others might be edited for a new playlist provider.
