Ten Random Tracks A Day For 2026: 11th June to 17th June

Week twenty four out of fifty five, we are approaching the halfway mark on this journey, and let's be honest, the more I do this, the more I realise how much Pearl Jam I listen to.  Honestly, they've not even had a day dedicated to them and they are over 20 tracks so far this year, and they are not even in my top five bands.  Granted, I have seen them live once and it was amazing, but I have not went out of my way to hear one of their albums for ages.  No reason why I mention it, just something that arrived in my mind when I was looking at the statistic of the year so far.  

But hey, let's not worry about that and move onto this, let's talk about strange songs and playing ten songs a day! So, as always, how in the blue hell-scape of space did we get here? At the start of the year on Threads (or possibly on Bluesky), I started to see people posting random 10 songs for the day.  Now, with lists being my sort of thing and finally having the itch to blog again, I thought "lets do this". My aim is to try to post at least one list of songs per day, but as has happened, sometimes I've had to do a few post together.  If you want to follow the lists as they are posted, that is happening on my Bluesky & Threads accounts, and once a week I am compiling into this blog/playlist.  

For full disclosure, I did miss a couple of these days, so I went to my iTunes/YouTube and looked at what I had played on the days missed. Also, when it comes to the playlists I have found that sometimes that track I played is not available.  In those cases, I've added a substitute track, which I will note when posting.  Also, I'm using Spotify.  It is the only streaming service I am used to, I am also looking into changing as Spotify sucks and their owner is a bad egg.  Much like the first post, this post and others might be edited for a new playlist provider.

Ten Random Tracks A Day For 2026: 4th June to 10th June

Week twenty three, and I am approaching the middle of this endeavour.  I must admit, as much as I love music and lists, this can sometimes feel a little taxing.  Which is strange as I'm just typing out a list, of my own free will.  But there are times when I just want to switch off, sleep for a few days and then come back.  But this year at least, I have stated that I want to do this for a year.  Yeah, I could walk away, but I want something to look back on and see how the year has gone, who had the most random plays, all that sort of thing.  My mind can be a strange place, OCD is the real mind-killer at times.

But hey, let's not worry about my mind and stuff,  let's talk about strange songs and paying ten songs a day! So, as always, how in the blue hell-scape of space did we get here? Ten Random Tracks A Day For 2026: 28th May to 3rd June

Week twenty two and summer had arrived with a vengeance here in North Tyneside!  I swear, I have gone down a belt hole these last few days alone!  Now dear reader, I am a chubby lad and from Scottish ancestry (from my Mom's side).  I am not handling this heat well at all, it is awful and I think I've had about 3 to 4 hours sleep each night since the deities have left their enternal furnace burning at night.  It's not fun, but it does mean orange ice lollies, so there is a small silver lining there.

But enough about my body slowly turning into water due to the heat,  I want to talk about random tracks and make a list about them! So, as always, how in the blue hell-scape of space did we get here?
